The 2023-2024 Trail Project that GWAPT is working on contains a 418’ off road trail on County A just south of Hwy. 10. This section is one of two places the Waupa-Wega Trail uses a County road. This section definitely requires off road for safety as many semis exit and enter Hwy. 10 at this point.
This off road section runs along the west side of County A to East Gate Dr at which point there will be a painted crosswalk on County A.
We are in the process of engineering this project. We have that cost covered but we need to raise funds to cover the actual work. We are waiting for an estimate from Waupaca County. We know this will be the most expensive part of this project and need to raise funds as soon as possible. We have raided $8500 of which $7500 was received from Waupaca Community Fund. Please consider an end of year donation.
Our goal is to have the trail constructed possibly this
