Waupa-Wega Biking / Hiking – 2025-2026 Project

Start at the River Ridge Parking lot across from Fox Valley Tech
Turn Right out of Story Walk Parking lot onto Hwy 54 Bypass Trail along Godfrey Drive
Turn Right Following Hwy 54 bypass Trail next to HWY 22/54/A
Left onto E. Gate Dr.
Right onto Airport Rd.
Left onto Galilee Rd.
Left onto HWY X
HWY X turns into West Main St.
Left onto North Mill St.
Left onto Haire Rd.
Right onto Reek Rd.
Left onto Butternut Ridge Rd.
Right onto Harrington Rd.
Harrington Rd. turns into Godfrey Drive
Turn Left into River Ridge Parking.


Waupa-Wega Trail name is self-explanatory!

Waupa-Wega Route is a loop from the River Ridge parking lot on Godfrey Drive and Hwy 22 in Waupaca going across Hwy 10 and then south of Hwy 10 to Peterson Park and returning along the north side of Hwy 10 to the River Ridge parking lot.

Project Updates

We are presently raising funds for an off road section along Cty Trunk A South of Hwy 10. The engineering for this section is being discussed with the County and City presently and then plans for construction with the Cty highway department will begin. Fundraising for this stage has begun.

This route has a budget of $41,095, of which $5535 is in-kind. $30,000 is for the off road section. The rest is mostly for signage, posts, brochure, construction, etc. We appreciate ANY size donation. 

We will be ordering signs in compliance with what the County wants throughout.  A sign can be sponsored for $25. 

The route passes through the cities of Waupaca and Weyauwega and Townships of Lind, Weyauwega, Royalton, and Waupaca. Any appreciation expressed to government bodies is welcome!
